Supporting Local Farmers & Elevating Menus: A New Microgreens Service for Food Businesses

As we move into 2026, I want to share an update on work that is especially meaningful to me—both personally and professionally.

Throughout my career as a chef, caterer, and business mentor, I’ve always believed that strong food businesses are built on quality ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, and direct relationships with producers. Supporting local farmers and organic agriculture has never been a trend for me—it’s been a core value.

That’s why I’m proud to announce that this year, I am actively supporting The Farmers Alliance, an organization dedicated to strengthening our local food system and creating more direct pathways between farmers and food businesses.

Introducing: Fresh, Local Microgreens for Food Businesses

🌱

Through this partnership, The Farmers Alliance is now offering premium, locally grown microgreens specifically for restaurants, caterers, and food entrepreneurs who want to elevate their menus with fresh flavor, vibrant color, and added nutritional value.

Microgreens are one of the most versatile ingredients in a professional kitchen. They add brightness, texture, and a seasonal feel to dishes while allowing chefs to showcase thoughtful sourcing on the plate.

By sourcing microgreens through The Farmers Alliance, food businesses are not only receiving a premium product—they are also:

  • Supporting local growers directly

This work aligns deeply with my mission at FoodBizMentor: helping food businesses grow sustainably while staying connected to the people and systems that make our industry possible.
