As a business consultant I have received a similar request from many different people. They tell me they would like to start a business, they have a great idea, and they need funding so they can get started.

Typically, they're coming to me to help them in securing their financing. Sometimes they come to me with savings, sometimes they have zero capital, and sometimes they only have the beginning of an idea.

I believe that where there's a will, there's a way. You can start your business with nothing but an idea. The most important thing is that you keep that stamina and that energy in your dream alive. It's not easy to start a business and it takes time. Many times it takes years to develop a strong idea. The only way you can write a business plan is to be so familiar with your business while it's in your head that you can't help but start mapping it out on paper.

Some people have trouble with envisioning something before they create it. That's okay as long as you recognize it and look for ways to help organize and manifest your thoughts.

Manifestation. As soon as you are ready to manifest your dreams- you are ready to start your own business.

Ask any successful entrepreneur how much of their success had to do with luck. How much of their success had to do with hard work?

It's the combination of luck, passion, hard work, and strategic thinking that gets a business ahead. Any business. Whether you want to start a small taco truck or a digital marketing enterprise. It all takes work, it all takes vision.

So you're ready to start a business as soon as you're ready to start your business. If you need help in getting it started, you look for an experienced consultant or a mentor to help you develop a game plan to make your goals happen.

One of the major challenges that I had to learn as an entrepreneur is how to manage myself and stay efficient and make effective decisions. I always say that time is relative because I truly believe that. Some days will fly by and prove unproductive, while others sometimes feel like I am centered and focused on doing work that will impact my bottom line.

The main lesson that I have learned is that meditation and visioning play a key role in my ability to stay productive. Anxiety is always my biggest hurdle in remaining productive, so I dedicate time to being alone and thinking as I try to center myself and focus on what my next step should be.

Entrepreneurs tend to get distracted with the next idea, the shiny object that we need to have because that's what will take us to achieve our goals. I try to use the opposite approach. There are many ideas that I want to try but instead of trying to do everything at once, I like to center myself and focus on one task or project at a time. I do this in the effort to manage my anxiety, and it also allows me to manage my expectations.

Managing my schedule is an incredibly important part of being a business owner. Sometimes it is tempting to schedule all of the appointments that I get asked for, but I have made that mistake many times before and I have learned that it's important to center myself and regroup after every session. This allows me the time to stay organized, take notes, and ultimately give better advice and be a better consultant. I try to schedule a maximum of three appointments per day, and I also try to block days out in my week where I have no appointments and focus on regrouping and staying organized. I also like to focus those days on working toward my personal goals that I don't want to leave behind.

The 3 main lessons that I hope you gather from reading this are:

1) Manage your thoughts: Meditation

2) Manage your anxiety, time is relative

3) Manage your schedule and make time for you

The best advice that I have ever received is: "Don't forget to make time for yourself Carolina" . I think that I used to view it as selfish to make time for myself. I also always thought that I didn't have the time to make time for myself. I then learned that time is relative, and it's not that I didn't have the time, it's that I was mismanaging my time. I wasn't taking care of my mind and managing my thoughts as effectively as I could have been.

This COVID 19 pandemic has been incredibly life altering. I was personally impacted. I'm sure that many of you were as well. I think that unless you work for the Federal government, your paychecks were compromised.

Thank God for the CARES act, because if not for that, I wouldn't have been able to keep up with my mortgage... and I have worked so hard to keep grinding and to rebound since so many of my own personal factors have blown up on me. I've made it out on top though, and I'm proud of that.

What makes me a successful entrepreneur? I try to stay humble. but I am a successful entrepreneur. What does that mean to me? I live in a wonderful neighborhood. I am happy in home. I have food. I have the ability to work toward my dreams and my goals. I am happy. Sure, I would love to have a great relationship and other things that one would like. Nobody's perfect. I strive for it though. I do honestly strive to be as perfect as I can be. I think what has helped me is that I've embraced my imperfections. I honestly made made myself believe that they're what makes me unique. There is no perfect.

I am a small business consultant. As a small business consultant I get a similar question every time. "Carolina- How do I make more money" . and all I can say is- Use your imagination. hustle. and work your ass off.

I don't know any other solution. You probably see this a lot: Stay positive, keep your eyes on the prize, keep grinding. Welp, I don't know what else to say. This is all true. The only way you will reach success is by working hard and not giving up. I'm just an incredibly stubborn person. I know what I have to do, but I don't know where life will take me. It does bring me peace to work toward whatever the hell that is. It brings me peace to work hard.

So, what makes you money the fastest is whatever unique idea you have. Bring it to fruition and work you tail off to push it and convince other people that they need it too.

We have tools for that: social media. Become an influencer. If you don't want to be an influencer- hire one. Get your product out there. Invest in your idea. Believe in yourself and always remember that it takes some time to watch a seed grow and flourish. Plant the seed now. Plant tons and tons of seeds, and eventually something will bloom. That's my advice for making money. Good luck.
